Humanist Society hosts Islamic group speaker
SCOTTSDALE - Nure Elatari, director of media programs for the Council on American Islamic Relations, will speak at the Humanist Society of Greater Phoenix meeting at 9 a.m. today at the Home Town Buffet, 1312 N. Scottsdale Road.
The Council on American Islamic Relations is the largest Muslim civil liberties group in the country. Its purpose is to promote the understanding of Islam and build coalitions that promote justice and mutual understanding.
