New liquor licenses top out at over $230,000 The first new liquor licenses issued by the state since 1988 will cost as much as $230,633.
Prices posted Monday by the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control start as low as $4,614 for a beer and wine bar license in La Paz County. The highest price is for a retail-packaged-liquor license in Maricopa County.
In Maricopa County, a bar license is priced at $90,178, while a wine and beer license is $11,649.
The highest priced bar license is $102,873, in Mohave County, which will issue three of each Series 6, 7 and 9 licenses. The county also had the highest wine and beer license at $14,253.
The state is accepting license applications through 3 p.m. March 17.
