For anyone interested in details regarding the latest privacy violating program from the U.S. Census Bureau, I've posted a feature article regarding the 'American Community Survey' on Freedom's Phoenix that can be accessed at:

Unlike the decennial census which only comes around once every ten years, this new program is a regularly recurring monthly survey that targets 250,000 households every month at the cost of $150 million dollars annually. It's been in the planning stages since the mid-1990's but was moved mainstream earlier this year.
So as Congressman Ron Paul states in one of his articles, "You may not have heard of the American Community Survey, but you will..."
Some of the points covered:
* The survey relies heavily on contracted corporate help that have unfettered access to individual responses on surveys. This includes companies like Lockheed Martin which has strong ties to the defense Dept., Homeland Security, and various 'Intelligence' agencies * The questions mostly originate from other federal agencies that use the Census Bureau for cover regarding their own programs * Other federal agencies are given direct access to ACS databases contrary to Census Bureau assurances to the contrary * The Census Bureau will work closely with other federal agencies to develop more targeted surveys based upon ACS responses * The Census Bureau doesn't inform their contracted survey takers that other federal agencies have direct access to indiivdual responses * The Census Bureau sends out test surveys with intentionally misleading guidelines on them to gauge public attitudes towards privacy in general and specific information demands such as SSN's * None of the specific questions contained on the survey are mandated by law - rather just the federalized social programs behind them. The Census Bureau has taken it upon itself to make individuals liable to the questions by linking the monthly survey program to the decennial enumeration.
